CABLE WORLD STAFF
Broadband-system supplier Com21 received Level 2 approval from Excite for its DOXport cable modem. The product, a single-chip modem with Ethernet and USB interfaces, will soon start shipping to cable operators. Com21 also said it will break even by the third quarter and that it expects to take in between $40 million and $44 million in revenue in the second quarter. Results will be released on July 19, and analysts expect a loss of about 36 cents per share.
