CABLE WORLD STAFF
ESPN is teaming with Major League Baseball to become the first national, English-language basic cable network to offer its affiliates the opportunity to provide viewers with Spanish-language base-ball simulcasts. Starting with Century 21 Home Run Derby festivities from Atlanta on July 10 at 8 p.m. and extending through its seven remaining Sunday night telecasts this season, ESPN will offer Spanish-language simulcasts, replete with graphics, commercials, on-air promos and player interviews. Each simulcast will be coordinated by an ESPN International production team.
