COMEDY TRUMPS TASTE WITH ?CHICKEN? FLICK
Comedy Central is taking its first step into the movie business with the original production Porn'n Chicken, which makes its debut Oct. 13. The film is based on the true story about reports that X-rated movies were being made on an Ivy League campus. The material, ripe for Comedy Central, targets young males with promises of plenty of skin and rude humor. There's lots of that, as the students in the movie first watch real porn films, like Debbie Does Dallas, then move on to produce their own. But there's nothing anyone hasn't already seen on basic cable ? for instance, on Comedy's Man Show ? in what is essentially a coming-of-age story about a ?joyless, anal-retentive pill? who learns to loosen up and have fun.>
ANIMAL PLANET SHOW GOES TO THE DOGS
Doggy style takes on an entirely different meaning at Animal Planet, which launches the new reality series Dog Days on Oct. 14. The show's format resembles that of some of the syndicated relationships shows, although the Manhattanites featured on Dog Days focus their love on their pets. Think Real World with four-legged friends. The humans treat their pooches like precious children, inviting their dogs' canine friends to parties complete with invitations, party hats and cat-shaped pinadas. Can there be too much fawning over Fido? Not if you're from Purina.
