THURSTON JOINS COMCAST
Comcast Cable last week named Charles W. Thurston president of advertising sales, effective in March.
Thurston will be responsible for Comcast's local, regional and national advertising, including the company's 16 MarketLink consolidated interconnects. Comcast generated $243 million in ad revenues during the first three quarters of 2001. Thurston replaces Roger Sverdlik, who left the company a few months ago.
Prior to joining Comcast, Thurston was president and CEO of Adlink, the digital cable interconnect serving the Los Angeles market.
