MOTOROLA TO USE MAGIS WIRELESS LINK

Motorola Broadband Communications signed a technical-services agreement with Magis Network Inc. to make Air5 wireless products based on Magis's chip sets interoperable with Motorola equipment. Terms were not disclosed. The two companies will co-market at industry events and jointly advertise and promote the wireless technology to customers. Magis's ?wireless solution will provide a path to empower set-tops with the advanced networking capabilities required to support next-generation digital services and applications,? Carl McGrath, Motorola Broadband VP and general manager, digital consumer gateways, said in a statement.

TIME WARNER CABLE TO DEPLOY C-COR SYSTEM

Time Warner Cable said it has agreed to use C-COR.net's COR-Convergence integrated service management system software at three of its systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Time Warner said the system will first be used in the market of Tampa, Fla. The system will be activated in two other markets later this year. The C-COR system enables network operations personnel and customer service representatives to manage and monitor the provision of digital services to customers.
