Carolanne Dolan has been promoted from director to VP-documentary programming and administration. She joined the network in 1995. Prior to that, she was with National Geographic Television from 1987-1995 where she was senior manager-acquisitions for the Explorer series.

CNN Jon Diament, VP and sales manager has assumed additional management respon-sibilities to include CNN Broadcast Television Network. He joined the network in 1990 and has moved through the ranks. He had also worked for the Bloom Agency and for Saatchi and Saatchi. Andrew W. Gyves and Tim E. Russell have been named New York sales managers. Gyves joined the network in 1991. He had also worked with ESPN and Merrill Lynch. Russell joined CNN in 1993. Prior to that, he had worked at McCann-Erickson USA Inc. and Young & Rubicam. Scott T. Weller has been promoted to SVP and national sales manager and Stephen L. Pollack has been named VP and Western region sales manager. Gary Tuchman has been named national correspondent; he had been a correspondent for the network's New York bureau. He will be headquartered in Atlanta. Tuchman joined CNN in 1990 and has covered major news stories around the world. Prior to that, he was an anchor and reporter at WPEC-TV, the CBS affiliate in West Palm Beach, Fla. He also worked for WBOC, the CBS affiliate in Salisbury, Md. Tuchman has received numerous awards for his work as an individual or as a team member. Kate Snow has been named a general assignment reporter in the Washington, D.C. bureau. She had been national correspondent for CNN Newsource. Prior to joining the network, she was an anchor for KOAT-TV in Albuquerque. She also worked for National Public Radio and NBC Radio.

Cole, Raywid & Braverman Maurita K. Coley has rejoined the firm as a partner in the Washington, D.C., office. She left CRB in 1993 to join BET as SVP-legal affairs and was later promoted to SVP-network operations and EVP-programming. In Coley's new position, she will join the firm's programming and telecommunications group where she will focus on cable programming and Internet service with an emphasis on content and general entertainment law issues. Kim Dettwiller-Jones has been named director-public relations. She was most recently regional manager-marketing and public relations for Planet Hollywood International.

ESPN Tim Bunnell has been promoted from manager-affiliate sales, international to director-affiliate sales, Americas. Before joining ESPN, he was field producer for WHDH-TV News in Boston. He was also a producer for Continental Cablevision in the Boston area. Peter Cerclay has been promoted from manager to director-international advertising sales. Prior to joining the network, he had been international sales coordination manager for Eurosport in Paris. He was also special French projects consultant for Beck Et Al Consultancy in Munich and was a sales representative for L'Oreal Cosmetics Co. in Paris. Mark Shapiro has been promoted to VP/GM of ESPN Classic. He has been coordinat-ing producer of the network's SportsCentury since 1997. Prior to that, he produced Up Close and various other sports shows. He joined the network in 1993 and before that had been with NBC Sports.

TV Guide Lauren Snyder has been appointed SVP-corporate communications. She had been SVP/director-entertainment marketing of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide. She is based in New York.
