CABLE WORLD STAFF

HBO: Doris Casap has been named VP-film programming; she had been director-film programming. Casap has been a member of the film programming staff for eight years, having joined the network in 1991 as a management associate. Before joining HBO, she was an assistant portfolio manager at Bear, Stearns in New York City. Carolyn Strauss has been promoted from VP-original programming to SVP-original programming. She joined the network in 1986. Preston Kevin Lewis has been promoted from marketing manager-home video to director-rental marketing. Prior to joining HBO, he was in various marketing and managerial positions at Maurice Starr Enterprises in Boston. He was also at NYNEX.

HARDIN & ASSOC.: Patricia Baumann has joined the wireless broadband consultancy as CFO. Edwin Nettleton has been promoted from project leader - two way systems to manager-engineering. James Cornelius has been promoted from senior engineer to manager-engineering. Shawn L. Phillips has been promoted to consulting engineer.

T. HOWARD FOUNDATION: Cynthia Dinkins has been named director. She is the co-founder of Foxworth & Dinkins, a technology consulting firm. She will be responsible for fundraising and program development for the foundation which promotes full participation of minorities, women and others in the satellite industry.

INSP: Christopher A. Cates has been named president of MediaComm Inc., a subsidiary of the Inspirational Network. He had been SVP-network services at Atlantic Video Inc. in Washington, D.C. He also assisted in the launch of Discovery's Your Choice TV, Animal Planet, Z-Music and the Arab Network of America.

INTERTECH: Tom Davis has joined the company as VP-client services. He had been president of Dapro Inc., and has held management and consultant positions at RCN, Sprint, PCS, AT&T, Alltel Information Services, AT&T Canada, C-TEC Corp. and Pennsylvania Gas and Water Co.

LEE HUNT ASSOC.: Carlos Ferreyros has been named creative director-Latin America. He will direct the Fox Kids Latin America account. He had been at Cyclops Inc., his own firm, where he developed and produced image campaigns including a recent launch of a Nickelodeon block on the U.S. Spanish language network, Telemundo. He had also been creative director for the Warner Channel-HBO Latin America group. He has won numerous Emmys and ACCA Critics awards and was named by Promax as one of the top 50 creative executives. Jeff Bitsack has been named creative director-advertising/promotion He had been at Weiden and Kennedy and Cliff Freeman and Partners where he won awards for his ESPN and Fox Sports campaigns. He had also been at Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer in New York. He has won various other awards for his work from Cannes Gold Lion, Clio, Art Director's Club, Communications Arts, Andy's and Addy's.

MGM NETWORKS: Jorge Omar Ferrari has been named advertising sales director for MGM Latin America. He will be responsible for the network's Casa Club TV and Gold Brazil. He had been a sales account executive at Telemundo, and prior to that, he was director-new business for Radio Caracol.

MTV: Sabrina Silverberg and Mary Frances Budig have been promoted from VP-MTV law and business affairs to VP and deputy general counsel, law and business affairs. Silverberg had been with NBC as a staff attorney and was with Weil, Gotshal and Manges. Budig had been at Viacom New Media where she handled negotiations for the development and production of CD-Roms and acquisitions. Prior to that, she was with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy. Tony DiSanto has been promoted from executive producer-MTV production to VP-production. He began as an intern in the production department in 1989 and has held various positions at the network. Kristin Frank has been promoted from director-affiliate sales and marketing-Western region to VP-affiliate sales and marketing-Central region. Before joining the company in 1995, she worked in commercial finance at Heller Financial in Chicago.

MEDIAONE: Murray R. Davenport and Tony Naes have been named regional CFOs. Davenport is CFO for the Atlanta office. He had been VP-finance for E/M Corp., a division of the Morgan Crucible Co., a U.K. multinational specialty materials company. He also held various other positions with subsidiaries of the company. He was also with Scientific-Atlanta and Ernst & Young. Naes, who was VP/CFO for MediaOne's national markets group, is CFO for the Western region and is based in Los Angeles. He has held positions in finance and general management with U S West, Westlink, Arch Communications and Arthur Andersen.

MILITARY CHANNEL: Jane Stonnington has been named manager-affiliate sales-Pacific and Southwest regions. She had been national account manager for the Weather Channel's Western region. Prior to that, she was with Playboy Entertainment Group and Showtime Networks. Aerin Schumpberger has been named manager-affiliate sales for the Central region. She had been marketing manager for American Cable Entertainment.
