RiverDelta Networks said it received Euro-DOCSIS qualification for its broadband-services router 64000. The company can now sell the high-end edge router to European cable operators with standards-compliant networks. The product has received DOCSIS 1.0 qualification from CableLabs in the U.S. but has not yet been submitted for DOCSIS 1.1 qualification. Insight Communications announced in May that it would deploy the routers in the Lexington, Ky.-area to offer data services to business and residential customers.
WINFIRST USING CEON
Ceon Corp. will provide service-fulfillment technology to overbuilder WINfirst. Ceon will provide its ?It's On? order-management and provisioning system, which gives customers the ability to control various services, including video and data. WINfirst is building fiber-to-the-home networks in several areas throughout the southwestern and western United States. WINfirst and Ceon did not disclose financial terms. WINfirst also recently made deals to use technology from Canal+.
