Arbitron Cable Services Beth Bryan has been named account manager in the Midwest region. Formerly, she was an account executive with AT&T Media Services, Brooks Marketing Group and MediaOne Advertising.
CNX Media Tony Bauer has been named VP-Midwest distribution. Formerly, Bauer worked for Spelling Entertainment Group as VP/central division manager in Chicago. Previously, he was VP/GSM for the eastern region offices at Turner Program Services in Atlanta.
Cox Communications Sheryl Charleston has been promoted to VP/GM-CableRep advertising in San Diego. She was GM-CableRep in Omaha and, prior to that, was international sales manager for BBC World in London.
Discovery Judy Harris was hired as SVP/GM-consumer and educational products groups. She previously held marketing, product management, product development and business development roles with Binney & Smith Crayola Brand, a division of Hallmark.
Lifetime Tracy Barrett has been named director-affiliate advertising sales and distribution marketing. Formerly, she was director-affiliate marketing for Fox Family Channel. She was also at Turner Broadcasting Systems as regional marketing manager-southeast region. Matthew Damicone has been hired as regional director-distribution and field marketing, eastern region. He was formerly a regional sales manager at Fox News Channel/Fox Movie Channel. Laura Dunn has been named regional director-distribution and field marketing, eastern region. Previously, she was director-special markets and regional account manager. Also, she was a local ad sales coordinator for TNN and CMT. Roxanna Kilmovich has been named director-distribution planning. Previously, she was corporate marketing manager at Falcon Communications, where she also served as programming coordinator.
Millenium Digital Media Paul Garner has been promoted to manager-network systems, information technologies. Prior to his promotion, he was IT systems engineer. Mary Meier has been hired as VP-marketing. Previously, she was VP-operations at Capital Cable in St. Louis.
Nickelodeon Lolee Aires has been appointed VP-production, Nickelodeon Animation Studios. Previously, she was with Film Roman, where she won two Primetime Emmy Awards. Prior to that, Aires worked for Hanna-Barbera as a track reader.
Pennsylvania Cable Telecommunications Assn. Irene Gans, corporate secretary for Cable TV Inc., was recognized as one of Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business. She and her husband created Cable TV Inc. out of Lee Antenna Company, which they bought in 1955. Gans has been instrumental in the business since its beginning.
Turner Network TV Karen Cassell has been promoted from VP-public relations to SVP-public relations. Before joining the company, she was director-publicity and promotion for Avenue Entertainment.
WICT WICT donated more than 20 hours of videotaped interviews and 600 pages of transcripts to the Barco Library at the National Cable Center in Denver. The donation included copies of Modern Visionaries, a book and video developed by the Foundation that chronicles the career of 22 telecommunications industry women who have been pioneers in the field.
