REVENUES BELOW EXPECTATIONS - Shares of ADC Telecommunications Inc. fell 7% last week as investors focused on lower than expected revenues cited in ADC's third quarter earnings report. Shares of ADC were off 3.06 at 40.812 points on Nasdaq on turnover of more than 3.6 million shares. Revenues were $444.1 million, compared to $362.5 million in the same year-ago quarter. Analysts say the company's revenue outlook is good.

Shares of Qwest Communications International surged more than 8% last week, furthering a rebound from a nose dive brought on by the long-distance company's merger with U S West. Qwest's stock has skyrocketed more than 20%, enabling the shares to vault well above a key price level for the Qwest-U S West combination. Qwest has benefited from a recent rebound in Internet-related stocks.
