SUB BOOM BOOSTS CABLEVISION
Goldman Sachs expects Cablevision to report better-than-expected third-quarter results Tuesday due to an upswing in basic-subscriber growth following Sept. 11. ?With 100% of Cablevision's footprint located in the New York [area], it has benefited from the consumer's need for in-home entertainment and access to news,? said analyst Richard Greenfield in a research note last week. Greenfield cautioned that shares of Cablevision might still be pressured over the next 12 months as a result of several factors, including whether or not Cablevision builds out its personal communications spectrum outside the New York area and the need for funding next year if it does decide to do so.
